BALTIMORE (AP) - Austin Jackson had three hits and three RBIs, Erik Gonzalez homered and the Cleveland Indians put on another offensive show at the expense of the Baltimore Orioles in a 6-3 victory Thursday night. The Indians won three of four from the Orioles to complete a 7-1 road trip that began with a four-game sweep of Minnesota. Cleveland has scored at least five runs and reached double figures in hits over nine consecutive games, and homered in 11 straight.

MILWAUKEE (AP) - Corey Knebel broke Arodlis Chapman's modern-era record for most consecutive games by a reliever with a strikeout at a season's start, fanning a batter for the 38th straight game and closing out the Milwaukee Brewers' 4-2 win over the Pittsburgh Pirates Thursday. Chase Anderson allowed two runs and two hits in six innings.

PHILADELPHIA (AP) - The Philadelphia Phillies ended a five-game losing streak as Freddy Galvis and Tommy Joseph homered in a 5-1 verdict over St. Louis. Aaron Nola carried a shutout into the eighth inning and limited the Cardinals to a run and four hits with eight strikeouts over seven and one third innings.

CLEVELAND (AP) - Two people familiar with the negotiations say the Cleveland Cavaliers have not yet offered Chauncey Billups a role in their front office. Billups and Cavs owner Dan Gilbert met for two days this week to discuss a position, but the talks did not lead to a formal proposal, the people said.

LEXINGTON, Ky. (AP) -The first round of the NBA draft is in the books. As expected, one-and-doners Markelle Fultz and Lonzo Ball led the way. Fultz went to the 76ers, and Ball went to the Lakers. In all, the first seven and 12 of the first 14 picks were freshmen. A record 16 first-year players went overall. Three of the freshmen came from Kentucky. Not surprisingly, Wildcats coach John Calipari was on hand to congratulate the future millionaires.
