A reward fund has been established for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for murdering Lydia Ashworth, 92, on June 30.
The Forest Hills Community Association placed $5,000 in the fund and they want anyone else who would like to donate to send money to Belmont Savings Bank at 3301 Guernsey Street in Bellaire.
Chief Mike Kovalyk told association members they have the Bellaire Police Department's total commitment in solving this brutal crime.
Police said Ashworth was found murdered in her home several weeks ago.
Community members have said they are shocked over this brutal crime and want to find the person responsible.
