Many local high school students are picking their colleges and sending in applications. One local school has brought the colleges to them to help with the decision.
Local colleges and institutions came to Brooke High School Thursday morning to help juniors and seniors decide where to go.
"It's important for a lot of students who don't have transportation to a school to have a contact. I think it eases them into that college situation when they know an admissions counselor," says Guidance Counselor Deborah Sole.
Students know how important this time is for them and the important choice they will make, but having all the information at their fingertips makes things a lot easier.
Admissions Counselors from colleges all over set up tables with information students could take with them.
"It lets us know what's out there and what we might want do at colleges so it helps us a lot," says Senior Chance Pattison.
"I think college fairs are very important because it gives us a chance to see a variety of schools around the state and in other states and it really lets us see what it's like and some of the people who go there and spend everyday there and it really gives us a good outlook on it before we make a decision," says Senior Juliet Casinelli.
"They give us a lot of information about what the schools offer and some of the things we can do while we are there, too," says Senior Colin Moser.
