Arrest Made in Brooke County Homicide

On Thursday, the Washington County Sheriff's Office, the Smith Township Police Department and the Mountain State Fugitive Task Force, which includes members of Brooke County Sheriff's Office, arrested Rocco Zuccaro. Zuccaro was wanted for the murder of Jason Lee Pratz, age 31, of Wellsburg.

Zuccaro was arrested in Burgettstown, Pa. He was transported to the Washington County Jail awaiting extradition to West Virginia.

New details emerged Wednesday morning in an apparent homicide in Brooke County.

Two deputies are currently working around the clock on the case. One of those deputies is currently at the autopsy of the victim, Jason Lee Pratz, age 31.

The Brooke County Sheriff's Department is investigating an apparent homicide on Genteel Ridge Road in Brooke County.

According to Brooke County Sheriff Chuck Jackson, Jason Lee Pratz was found dead of a gunshot wound on Tuesday.
