Weirton will be the site of a new manufacturing facility, that according to a press release from Governor Tomblin's office. Three Springs Business Park will be the location of the $9 million project. The plant is expected to add 41 jobs to the area during the initial phase and when fully operational to could house up to 150 jobs.
"These are the type of jobs we have always believed development of the Marcellus Shale would produce. I'm pleased Pietro Fiorentini has chosen to locate its new manufacturing plant in West Virginia," said. Gov. Tomblin. "I'd like to thank the West Virginia Development Office, the Business Development Corporation of the Northern Panhandle and the Independent Oil and Gas Association for working collaboratively with Pietro Fiorentini USA to bring these jobs to Brooke County."
The Italian-based parent company, Pietro Fiorentini, is a manufacturer of pressure regulators, valves, pressure reducing and metering system for the natural gas industry.
The Weirton plant will be Pietro Fiorentini's first manufacturing operation in the United States.
