Wheeling Man Arrested for Allegedly Hitting Another With Baseball Bat
A Wheeling man was arrested Tuesday morning after allegedly hitting another man in the head with a baseball bat.
Police say that William Colley, 53 of Wheeling, hit his son's friend in the head with the bat after an argument. The incident happened on Halstead Avenue late Monday night.
Police say the victim claims the incident was all a misunderstanding. The victim was taken to the hospital, but expected to be okay. Colley is in the Northern Regional Jail waiting to be arraigned on malicious wounding charges.
