Wheeling Park's Andrew Kowalo signed his national letter of intent this afternoon with his mother by his side, along with former coach Chad Stout, and current coaches Mike Mcleod and assistant coach Brad Guckert looking on.
Kowalo will continue his baseball career at Potomac State College in Keyser, with hopes of a better offer in the future it's a junior college associated with West Virginia University.
"Pots" State has been a stepping stone for many players over the years, who have gone on to scholarships at WVU and elsewhere.
Kowalo is a four-year varsity player, who is the Patriots primary shortstop. He's batting over .400 this season and has an ERA under 2 as a pitcher. Kowalo is the leader of the Patriots who are in the middle of a 19-2 season.
