Bishop Donahue won one for "Dino" Friday night , by beating Madonna 2-1 in the OVAC class A championship.
Dino is Tommy Smith who passed away this past March, he was the Bishops "super fan" no matter the sport. Bishop Donahue has dedicated all of their spring sports in his honor.
With the game scoreless in the bottom of the fourth , Alex Reidel doubled home Phillip Smith and Joe Myers for a 2-0 lead. Reidel was tagged out trying to stretch the hit into a triple.
In the top of the sixth the Blue Dons would get on the scoreboard with a Wil Bowser RBI double.
But Hunter Kaschke would shut the door from there. The win gives Bishop their seventh OVAC baseball championship and their third straight.
