Road work across the Wheeling area continues Monday and two major ramp closures may affect your commute.
There will be an individual ramp closure of Route 40 on Wheeling Island while they install a new sign near the top of the exit ramp adjacent to I-70 westbound traffic. Better known as "exit zero" will be closed Monday and Tuesday.
Also closed on Monday is exit 5, which is the westbound entrance ramp from route 40 in Triadelphia and Elm Grove. It will be closed to install a new sign as well. If work is not completed, the ramp will be closed again on Tuesday.
