New Seat Belt Law Goes Into Effect in West Virginia on Tuesday
On Tuesday, police officers in West Virginia will be able to pull over drivers who aren't wearing their seat belts. Previously, officers could only tack on a fine for not wearing a seat belt, it was not a primary violation.
Beginning Tuesday, if you are pulled over for not wearing a seat belt, you will face a $25 fine. The violation will not result in any points being put on your license or require a court appearance.
