When a young husband and wife had a traffic accident in Bellaire, first they were taken to the hospital, and then they were taken to jail.
They reportedly had 17 heroin stamps concealed in cigarette packs, and the car crashed when the husband overdosed, suffered a seizure, and involuntarily stomped on the gas pedal.
19-year-old Kyle Palmer is charged with drug abuse, possession of drug instruments, driving under three license suspensions and failure to control. His wife, 20-year-old Gina Palmer, is charged with possession of heroin and drug instruments.
Police said they also found hypodermic needles and belts used as tourniquets. They say the husband was also facing other charges in Monroe and Belmont counties and his wife is a participant in Belmont County drug court.
