Big Crowd Turns Out for Mumley Race in St. Clairsville

Residents from around the valley gathered to race and support their high school students this weekend at the 15th annual Sam Mumley run in St. Clairsville.

This was one of the highest years for number of participants. Proceeds for the run will go to two high school graduates from St. Clairsville and other community benefits.

The race went smoothly with clear weather and runners we talked with had several reasons for why they enjoyed this race.

The Sunrise Rotary Club helped put the run together, and this year they had over 300 participants that either walked or ran the course. Some of the awards and door prizes were gift cards, memberships and medals.
