Men in the Ohio Valley looking for a hobby may have found one Saturday at the Men at Play Expo at Oglebay.
The inaugural event consisted of all things man including race cars, outdoor cooking, fly fishing, and craft beer brewing. Males of all ages cast, cooked, and brewed with experts from Cabela's and others as they picked up new hobbies and tips from the best in the Valley.
The Museums of Oglebay Institute came up with the expo as a way to expand their audience.
"We were talking that we really didn't do anything that centered around men and their interests so we did some brain storming," said Danielle McCracken, an event chairperson from the Museums of Oglebay Institute. "We came up with these core interest areas and hopefully we'll build on these for years to come."
The expo cost 15 dollars at the gate and all funds raised went back to the Museums of Oglebay Institute.
