Police Search for Another Suspect in Murder of Wheeling Jesuit Student
Police continue to search for at least one more suspect in the murder of Wheeling Jesuit Student Kevin Figaniak.
Initial reports said that three of four suspects were involved in the assault, and two suspects are now behind bars. Police are continuing to search for one or two more suspects.
An autopsy was performed on Figaniak's body on Wednesday, but the results will not be available until sometime next week. 22-year-old Craig Peacock of Florida and 24-year-old Jarrett Chandler of Louisiana are behind bars charged with murder, and police are continuing to use all tools available to search for another suspect including video surveillance and social media.
Figaniak's funeral mass is scheduled for 10 a.m. Saturday at Our Lady of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Hilltown, Pennsylvania. The school plans to bus his teammates and other students there. His family has established a memorial fund in his memory at the university.
