Brooke High School Soccer Coaches Resign Because of Hazing Incident
Brooke County Superintendent Kathy Kidder-Wilkerson confirmed on Monday that two high school soccer coaches have resigned because of a hazing incident.
Wilkerson said the two coaches, the varsity head coach and assistant soccer coach, were upset about the incident happening. Wilkerson said it was not done in their presence.
The incident is alleged to have taken place after school was let out and before practice began. The two coaches resigned on Friday but it won't be official until the Brooke High School Board of Education votes on the resignations October 14. Wilkerson said they are looking for an interim coach.
There will be a special board meeting October 7 to discuss disciplinary action against two students. Stay with wtrf.com for the latest developments.
