New speed limits have taken effect on some Ohio roads.
The increase is on parts of U.S. and State Routes throughout the Buckeye State. The change took effect Sunday on more than 600 miles of road in the state's second round of speed-limit increases this year.
The changes effect rural freeways, divided highways and expressways. The Ohio Department of Transportation says you should respect current speed limits until new signs are posted. The change will require more than 1,000 signs to be changed which is expected to be done by Friday.
