Scouts from Local Troop 5 came together to help install a sprinkler system at a local cemetery on Saturday.
The project was organized by scout Kevin Hasenauer as part of his Eagle Scout final project. Kevin met with the head groundskeeper at Mount Calvary Cemetery on National Road in Elm Grove.
The new sprinkler system will allow the maintenance crews at Mount Calvary to focus on other tasks instead of having to water the cemetery by hand.
"Mount Calvary is a very good place, it helps out a lot of people when their family dies and they had to water the whole cemetery by hand," said Hasenauer. "Installing the sprinkler system at the front gates will allow it to be a little bit easier for them so it takes a little less time out of their day, they can help other people with whatever they have to do here."
