The Magnolia Blue Eagles went into Steubenville's Harding Stadium on a rainy Saturday night and blanked the host Catholic Central Crusaders 24-0.
Magnolia senior running back/quarterback Drew Keller was the workhorse, carrying the ball 37 times for 186 yards and scored three touchdowns. Quarterback Jacob Brill added a five-yard touchdown.
The Blue Eagles had a 6-0 halftime lead and intercepted Crusaders quarterback Brenton Colabella twice and sacked him twice. Catholic Central lost for the second straight week to finish the regular season at 8-2. Despite the loss, Central (8-2) earned the No.4 seed in Division 7 Region 25. They host Racine Southern (8-2) next Saturday night at 7 at Harding Stadium.
The Blue Eagles, now 5-4, host Oak Glen (0-9) next Friday night in New Martinsville with a playoff berth on the line.
