Turnovers Doom St.Clairsville in Opening Round of Playoffs
The St.Clairsville Red Devils committed six turnovers, two of which were returned for touchdowns, as the Devils were bounced from the Ohio playoffs in the opening round after a 31-0 shutout at the hands of Liberty Union at Red Devil Stadium.
St.Clairsville, last year's state runner-up in Division 4, finished the season with a record of 9-2.
St.Clairsville record-setting senior running back, Youngstown State recruit Jaylon Brown, was held to just 84 yards on 21 carries.
Liberty Union advances to the regional semifinals to take on top-seed Col. Bishop Hartley next Saturday night.
