Mountaineer Donates Turkeys to Salvation Army

This year, more than ever, families around the Ohio Valley need a little more help putting a Thanksgiving dinner on the table, and Major Sue Dewan with the Salvation Army says there's been a 15 percent increase in the need for food in Brooke and Hancock counties.

On Friday, Mountaineer Casino and Racetrack continued their tradition of making sure every family in need has a turkey on their table by delivering 400 turkeys to the Salvation Army in Weirton.

The Salvation Army took applications from families in the two counties for turkeys with all the fixings. Dewan says that they would never be able to do this without Mountaineer.
