Area Animal Shelters Receive Reports of Animals Being Left Outside in Frigid Conditions
Area shelters are getting reports of animals being left out in the cold during the cold snap that has grabbed hold of the Ohio Valley.
The Marshall County Animal Shelter says they have received numerous calls about animals left outside, and say they do have hay bales available at the shelter for anyone in need to come and pick up.
The Ohio County Shelter says they had a crew all night responding to calls about pet owners leaving their animals out. They say they're dealing with them on a call-by-call basis, but shelter officials are knocking on doors and making pet owners bring animals in.
If you see pets left outside, call your local animal shelter or police department to report it.
