A Woodsfield family's home was completely destroyed in a Tuesday morning fire.
A couple and their three children, the youngest of whom is nine months old, were left homeless after the blaze on South Main Street. The fire reportedly started around 10 a.m. while the homeowner, Robert Barcus, was at work and his girlfriend and three children were at the home. She and the children escaped uninjured, but two dogs died after being trapped in the basement of the home.
All of the family's possessions were lost in the fire.
A hallway heater is suspected to be the culprit in the fire. The investigation continues.
