The Wheeling Quaker Steak & Lube will host the "Hines Rotriga Benefit Fair" on Sunday, April 27 from 12-6 p.m. to raise funds for 2-year-old Hines Rotriga and his family.
Hines, who was diagnosed with stage IV neuroblastoma, will also receive a formal induction as the first member of the Quaker Steak & Lube Hall of Fame.
In a press release issued Monday, Marketing Manager Jeramiah Freeland said he is passionate about the cause. "At The Lube we try to give back as much as possible to the community," Freeland said. "When we saw little Hines tackling an uphill battle head on, we knew in our hearts that we had to do something for this brave young man and his family."
The fair will feature a variety of activities including a Chinese Auction, pig roast, bounce houses,
face painting, a photo booth, balloon art, and Touch-A-Truck with the Valley Grove Volunteer Fire Department. Live entertainment from Tongue ‘n Cheek, Hit Play, JFK and Shotgun Whiskey will take place throughout the day.
Featured auction items include a Disney vacation, Brad Paisley and Matt Webster memorabilia,
and a free 12x12 area of carpet or hardwood flooring plus installation courtesy of Budget Interiors.
