The new John Marshall lacrosse team competed in their first tournament last week.
John Marshall students dedicated over a year to make the tournament a reality, a year of fundraising, proposals, and recruiting.
Marshall County has never before had a lacrosse team, even though several students have played on traveling teams, and the school is working to expand their athletic offerings and compete on a wider scale throughout the region.
Lacrosse is one of the fastest growing sports in America, and now the students of Marshall County will have the opportunity to participate in the sport.
The first home game will be held April 6 behind John Marshall on the school soccer field and will have free admission.
