TechConnect West Virginia, a statewide economic development organization working to foster and promote innovation-based businesses and entrepreneurial activities across West Virginia, has announced the addition of two new officers and four new members to the organization's board of directors. 

John Maher, vice president for research at Marshall University Research Corp., has been elected chairman of the board. Tom Vorbach, an attorney with Steptoe & Johnson, has been elected vice chairman.

The board's new members, elected at last month's board meeting, include Kelley Goes, a lawyer with Jackson Kelly; Kristina Oliver, state director of the West Virginia Small Business Development Center; Frank Vitale, senior vice president at Clear Mountain Bank and Bob Welty, state president of Fifth Third Bank.
