Wheeling Woman Hospitalized, Facing Charges After Reportedly Striking Tow Truck on I-470
A Wheeling woman is facing charges of operating a vehicle while intoxicated and failure to maintain an assured clear distance after she allegedly struck a tow truck that was attempting to load a disabled vehicle on Interstate 470.
According to police, at around 8 p.m. Thursday, Jessica Boyce, 36, was westbound on I-470 when she struck a tow truck that was assisting a disabled vehicle. Boyce's vehicle overturned several times as a result of the crash and landed on its top. Boyce was transported to Wheeling Hospital for injuries by the Cumberland Trail Squad. The tow truck driver was not injured.
