PITTSBURGH (AP) - An elderly western Pennsylvania funeral director has been convicted in the shooting death of a contractor.

The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette (http://bit.ly/1sSZXVh) reports that 90-year-old William Welsh of Homestead was convicted of third-degree murder for shooting 58-year-old William Menni of McKees Rocks last July.

Welsh showed no emotion as the judge read the verdict.

Prosecutors say Welsh and Menni were friends for two decades, but had a falling-out over demolition work that Menni was overseeing across the street from the funeral home.

The defense said Menni had threatened Welsh and members of his family. Prosecutors say Welch confronted Menni and shot him twice.

Welsh faces a minimum of five years in prison when he is sentenced June 5.
