More Than $200,000 Raised During WTRF Easter Seals Telethon
WTRF wrapped up another Easter Seals Telethon on Sunday.
The telethon was hosted by WTRF's Brenda Danehart and Scott Nolte along with Jim Conner. This year, the telethon raised $218,313, and all of that money stays right here in the Ohio Valley to help out local Easter Seals children.
Jess Puglisi-Sanders, Community Relations Director for Easter Seals, said the telethon is a huge tool for them to continue providing for kids in the Ohio Valley with special needs. "The telethon is a great function for us to recognize those who support us throughout the year, we have great volunteer support, great sponsorship support, everyone who is helping us is helping to make a difference in the life of a child," said Puglisi-Sanders.
New this year, for every "share" the telethon post received on our 7News Facebook page, $1 was donated to Easter Seals, up to $1,000 thanks to sponsors Elm Grove Dodge and Wheeling Subaru.
