Extradition Ordered for Man Arrested in Wheeling and Linked to Virginia Murders
Charles Standard Severance, the man arrested at the Ohio County Library on weapons charges and allegedly linked to three murders in Virginia, will be extradited back to Louden County, Virginia, after fighting the process for nearly a month.
In March of this year, local authorities received a tip that Severance, suspected in multiple murders, would be in the Wheeling area and Wheeling police soon located him at the Ohio County Library, where he was arrested.
It was revealed during a previous hearing that Severance had allegedly sought asylum in Russia after he left Virginia. He reportedly has no ties to the Wheeling area.
