OVAC Baseball Finals Set

The 2014 OVAC baseball championship games are set for next weekend.

The Red Knight Sports Complex in Toronto will host the first two games on Friday night.

At 5 p.m., Bellaire will take on Linsly for the 3A championship. The Big Reds made the most noise in the semifinals by blasting No.1 seed and previously unbeaten Steubenville Central 20-0.  Linsly will be gunning for the school's 18th OVAC baseball title.

The Class 4A final will follow at 7:30 between Martins Ferry and Steubenville. Big Red knocked off defending champion Harrison Central 10-2, and with a win will wrap up OVAC baseball record 20th championship.

On Saturday, Vacarro Field in Steubenville will host the other three championships.

At 10 a.m. the Class A championship pits three-time defending champion Bishop Donahue against Weirton Madonna.

The Class 5A championship features Wheeling Park and defending 5A champion Edison, followed by the Class 2A title game between Shadyside and Caldwell.
