UPDATE: Body Found in Ohio River Near Chester is Missing Pa. Woman

CHESTER - The Hancock County Sheriff’s Office on Monday confirmed the identification of the female body located and recovered on April 16 in the Ohio River near Chester, West Virginia, as that of Sharone Napua Nakoa, 32, of Monaca, Pennsylvania.

Nakoa, who was reported missing Feb. 19, 2014, with the Monaca Police Department, was positively identified by the West Virginia Medical Examiner’s Office who advised the Hancock County Sheriff’s Office Monday morning.

On April 16, Nakoa's body was found in the area of the barge dry dock facility on the Ohio side of the river across from the boat ramp at the Chester City Park in Chester, West Virginia. Hancock County Sheriff's deputies, Chester Police and the Chester Volunteer Fire Department were all dispatched and aided in the recovery of the body with their watercraft.
