Man Charged in Student's Beating Death Pleads Not Guilty, Trial Date Set

The trial date for the man charged in the death of Wheeling Jesuit student Kevin Figaniak is set for June 9th.   

22-year-old Craig Peacock, a man from Florida, pleaded not guilty to felony murder charges.

Peacock was arrested on September 3rd in connection with Figaniak's death. Peacock's accomplice, Jarrett Chandler, pleaded guilty to a charge of involuntary manslaughter in February and is currently serving time.

Figaniak died one day after getting into a fight on the corner of National Road and Locust Avenue.
