The Ohio Military Hall of Fame has inducted its 2014 class of veterans in a public ceremony in Columbus and a Belmont County man was among the honorees.
Staff Sergeant William Campbell was awarded the Silver Star for his actions during the Vietnam War and it was accepted by his brother Gene.
He along with 19 other veterans were presented with the Ohio Medal of Valor.
The hall was founded in 2000 to honor Ohio military veterans who have received medals for valor on the battlefield.
The inductees were born in or entered military service from Ohio or currently live in the state.
