Man Sentenced to 50 Years in Prison for Murder of Good Samaritan in Weirton
Adam Barnhart, the man accused of killing a good Samaritan who tried to intervene in a fight between Barnhart and his girlfriend, was sentenced to 50 years in prison on Tuesday.
In court in Tuesday morning, Barnhart pleaded guilty to murdering 35-year-old Frank Tulock in September of last year. Police say Tulock was trying to break up an argument between Barnhart and his girlfriend in Weirton when Barnhart shot him.
Barnhart was sentenced to 40 years for the murder, and five years each on two counts of wanton endangerment, and must serve a minimum of 25 years.
The mother of Barnhart's girlfriend said he had allegedly threatened to use the gun on people before. Erica Spanovich said that if it wasn't for Tulock trying to stop Barnhart from hurting her daughter, she could have been killed.
