WEIRTON - Leslie Arnold Jr., the Weirton man accused of murdering a woman and concealing her body in a closet in 2013, pleaded guilty to a reduced charge of voluntary manslaughter and robbery on Monday morning.

Arnold was sentenced to life with mercy, and after 20 years, he will be eligible for parole.

Arnold was charged in the murder of 51-year-old Tanya Garan. Back in December of 2013, the Weirton Police Department responded to a call that a woman had been robbed at gunpoint and the suspect had also allegedly stolen her vehicle. Officers were able to identify the suspect as Arnold after interviewing several people in the area.

When officers searched Arnold's residence at Overbook Towers on Cove Road in Weirton, they said they discovered Garan's body concealed inside.
