Wheeling Man Will Spend More Than Eight Years in Prison on Gun, Drug Charges
A Wheeling man has been sentenced to 101 months in prison for selling cocaine and heroin out of a local hotel.
On Tuesday, Dale A. Davis, 36, was sentenced by Judge Frederick P. Stamp, Jr. for possession with intent to distribute crack cocaine and "possession of a firearm in furtherance of a drug trafficking offense." Davis was arrested after the Ohio Valley Drug Task Force used an informant to make a purchase of cocaine and heroin from Davis at the Knight's Inn in Wheeling in August of 2013.
After the purchase, a search warrant was obtained for the hotel room, where police found a 9 mm pistol, cocaine, heroin and $2,400 in cash.
Davis was remanded to the custody of U.S. Marshals pending designation to a federal prison.
