TORONTO, Ohio -
A Toronto man is facing charges after allegedly firing a gun inside a home on the 1500 block of Madison Street on Tuesday night while a child was inside.
Jeromy Brewer is charged with improperly discharging a firearm in a habitation, endangering children and using weapons while intoxicated after police said he accidentally fired the weapon inside the home while showing a woman, who was also reportedly intoxicated, how to use the gun.
The woman, Erika Ann Deuley, has been charged with tampering with evidence and endangering children.
At the scene, a rear door with the glass broken out and a hole suspected to be created by a gunshot were discovered. Officers also reportedly found a gun behind the garage.
The child at the home has been placed with relatives by Child Protective Services.
