WEIRTON - The Weirton Police Department is seeking the public's assistance in locating the suspects in two separate crimes that occurred earlier this week.

In the first incident, police are searching for the man who broke into The Diner on Main Street and stole an undetermined amount of cash. Police said the theft happened Sunday morning around 8:30 a.m. when the suspect forced his way into the restaurant and stole money out of the cash register.

Weirton police also need your help finding a man who has been using a stolen credit card at various locations around Brooke County and Hancock County.

In a surveillance video taken at Smoker's Choice on Pennsylvania Avenue, you can see him take out the credit card and buy items with it. He was later seen at the Kroger gas station buying fuel with the same stolen credit card.

If you have any information on either crime, please call the WTRF Lauttamus Security Crime Fighters tip line at 1-800-223-0312.
