WHEELING - On Thursday,West Virginia's latest millionaire was introduced during a special press conference.

West Virginia Lottery Director John Musgrave introduced John Lancaster at the Wheeling Island Casino-Racetrack on Thursday afternoon.
Lancaster has played the lottery twice a week for the past 28 years and his wife Gloria and 3 daughters always gave him a hard time about wasting money.

Lancaster, who purchased his $1 million winning ticket at a Weirton Convenient store, said he now plans on saving the money for his three daughters and he and his wife's retirement.

"Meeting my wife was the best thing that happened to me. She was the first of God's gifts to me and as my children were born, life changes and family's your priority," said Lancaster. "That's where my priorities are, with my family."

Lancaster's business, JAAAG Tire, is near the Convenient where he bought the ticket. He won last Friday and actually didn't know until he went in on Wednesday to buy another ticket.

Lancaster does say he will splurge and buy himself a shed so he can clean out his garage.
