Steubenville Woman Enters Insanity Plea After Child Found Unresponsive in Bathtub
Celicia Wilson, the Steubenville woman who is facing charges in the death of a four-month-old baby, has pleaded not guilty by reason of insanity to charges of endangering children and involuntary manslaughter.
During Wednesday morning's arraignment hearing, Wilson's attorney asked the judge to consider reducing Wilson's $250,000 bond. Her bond was continued at a $125,000 cash.
Wilson was arrested at her Oregon Avenue home after a seven-year-old child discovered Wilson passed out in the bathtub with the unresponsive baby.
The seven-year-old girl removed the baby from the bathtub and yelled for help and a neighbor called 911. The baby later died at the hospital.
