Belmont County Dog Warden Rescues Three Dogs From Roof of Bellaire Home
Three Pit Bulls are safe and sound after being rescued by Belmont County Animal Shelter Dog Warden Lisa Williams over the weekend.
The dogs were rescued from the roof of a residence in the 4200 block of Harrison Street in Bellaire on Sunday after police responded to a report of one of the dogs biting a woman who was later taken to the hospital.
Bellaire Police report they observed the dogs running loose in front of the residence and then the dogs went back into the open door and were then seen on the second floor roof after coming out an open window.
The animal shelter was called due to the woman being bitten and the dogs running at large. Williams, who was familiar with the dogs, and had previously taken care of them from incidents where the dogs had been taken from the property, was able to get the dogs to come to her without incident and took them to the shelter pending legal action against the owner.
Shelter officials said when Williams arrived all three dogs were happy to see her and Williams prevented them from possibly jumping from the roof and being injured.
