The waterfront in Wheeling was a sight to see on Sunday for the Multicultural Festival.

Non-stop, live music began at 1 p.m. and included many different cultures that make up the Upper Ohio Valley. Genres included gospel, polka, Latin, and reggae.

In addition to the music, there were many free activities for the whole family. An archery range, a rock-climbing wall, a name translation station, inflatable's, raffles, and more.

Children also had the opportunity to participate in the "Around-the-World" games from six different continents.

Also, there were many vendors of food as well as clothes, jewelry, artwork, and more.

The Multicultural Festival is a joint collaboration between the YWCA Wheeling and the Ohio Valley Black Heritage Festival.
The two groups have received recognition, from Governor Kasich, for creating a safe, family-friendly event for everyone in the Ohio Valley.

"Over 75 vendors and all the youth activities are free to the public and this is our first year doing it here at the Heritage Port in conjunction with the Black Heritage Foundation that is here as well all weekend with the Rib & Chicken Cook off," said YWCA Board Member Anne Ricci.

The event lasted until 9 p.m. Sunday night.
