Troopers Out in Full Force Locally as Fourth of July Nears
The Fourth of July has become one of the busiest travel holidays of the summer, and law enforcement agencies are on high alert.
More than one million drivers are expected to hit the roadways this weekend in the state of Ohio alone, but so are patrols, and they'll be out in full force cracking down on drunk drivers. Last year, the Ohio State Highway Patrol made nearly 300 OVI arrests in a 24- hour period.
Troopers are also asking divers to call #677 to report impaired drivers.
The Pennsylvania State Police will also be conducting at DUI checkpoint in Washington County starting Thursday.
