Water Conservation Order Issued After Pump Outage in Martins Ferry

A water conservation order was issued Tuesday morning for Tri-County Water Authority customers due to an pump outage in Martins Ferry.
The Tri-County Water Authority announced the order affects all of its customers including residents living along U.S. Route 250 from Pleasant Grove westward to to Harrisville, Bonnie Lane, Century Hills and the entire village of Harrisville. Adena and Georgetown are also included in the order.
A water conservation order means water use should be limited to that necessary for drinking, cooking and personal hygiene. This includes not washing cars, filling swimming pools or watering lawns until the order is lifted. Customers will be notified when the order is lifted.
