Road Project in Jefferson County Causes Residents to Be Concerned

A road project in Jefferson County planned for next July has residents concerned.
On Friday, a meeting was held for residents of Steubenville to voice their opinions and thoughts on the roundabout that is scheduled to be put in on Lovers Lane at the mall entrance.
City Engineer, Mike Dolak, says that the opinion on whether the roundabout should be built or not was split between the 35 meeting attendees 50/50.
"Some of the concerns are more or less the safety of the roundabout in conjunction with some of the individuals that don't know how to drive through it," Dolak stated.
Dolak added that the roundabout will improve safety by reducing speed, congestion, and pollution. He also says it will save the city money because a roundabout is cheaper to maintain.
