Bluefield, WV Chamber to host Coal Symposium, currently accepting public comments for panel
The Greater Bluefield Chamber of Commerce will host a panel of West Virginia lawmakers and coal industry representatives at the Bluefield Coal Symposium Aug. 12.
Titled “Coal — Its Future,” the symposium will hold a discussion moderated by U.S. Sen. Joe Manchin, D-W.Va., featuring a number of panelists including representatives from major coal companies and the West Virginia Coal Association, West Virginia Attorney General Patrick Morrisey, and Reps. Nick Rahall, D-W.Va., and Morgan Griffith, R-Va.
The event will be held in the Brown-Gilbert Basic Science Building auditorium on the campus of Bluefield State College from 2:30 p.m. to 5 p.m. Aug. 12. Parking is available on the campus and shuttle service will be provided.
