Target Red Enforcement Campaign Runs Through August 17
The "Target Red" enforcement campaign began on August 1 and will run through August 17. The Northern Regional Highway Safety Office is working to enforce red light and stop sign violations.
The Wheeling Police Department is joining with other state and local law enforcement for the campaign. Officers will be strongly enforcing the red light and stop sign violations, especially on problematic intersections throughout the city.
The funding is made available by the West Virginia Governor's Highway Safety Program and will include many agencies in the Northern Panhandle.
