WINTERSVILLE, OH -
The Ohio State Highway Patrol on Monday continued to investigate a one-vehicle fatal crash that claimed the life of a Wintersville man.
Brian L. Sullivan, 47, of Wintersville was killed on U.S. 22 in Jefferson County on Sunday when his vehicle went off the left side of the roadway striking a storm drain. The vehicle then overturned several times before coming to rest on the eastbound side of US 22. Sullivan was pronounced dead at the scene.
Sullivan was the only occupant in the vehicle at the time of the crash, and was not wearing his safety belt.
State police say the investigation is still pending; however speed does appear to have been a contributing factor in the crash.
