Annual Ride For A Reason Continues to Help Fire Victims
Even though they were off the job, the Red Knight still did what the could for the people they used to save.
The West Virginia chapter of the motorcycle club consisting of mostly firemen held their 7th Annual Ride for a Reason Poker Run.
The money raised today will be used to buy immediate necessities like clothing and toiletries for those who have lost everything in a blaze.
Just because they're not fighting fires doesn't mean the Red Knights have stop fighting for fire victims.
"It's a comradery of people who like to ride that have a history of being fire fighters and we do benefits," Road Captain Jim Bisssett says. "The benefit we're doing is for victims of fire."
The Red Knights took off from Valley Harley Davidson in Bethlehem then headed to Marshall County taking 88 to 250 before getting a police escort through Moundsville and turning towards New Martinsville.
Next they headed up the Ohio side of the river before crossing I-470 and ending at the Wheeling Soup Kitchen.
