Police Continue Investigation After Discovering Body In Marshall County

MARSHALL COUNTY, W.Va. -

Police in Marshall County are investigating the death of 24-year-old Chandra Hossman after officers found her dead inside a car after a short chase around 2:40 a.m. Sunday morning.

Shay Hossman told police he and Chandra had an argument as they were traveling on Route 250 near Poplar Springs in the Cameron area and that she jumped out of their Jeep. He said he stopped the car and picked her up off the road and tried to get to Reynolds Memorial Hospital.

When officers pulled the car over near Route 2, they noticed she had already suffered what appeared to be traumatic fatal head injuries.

Police say no one is in custody and an autopsy is scheduled for today. Sheriff Kevin Cecil says inconsistenices in stories have peaked their interest, so they investigation continues.
